He was jealous of all my friends
He checked up on me all the times
I just thought he was a little possessive
I did not know the signs

The first time that he hit me
He quickly apologized
He even cried and his tears were real
I did not know the signs

R.I.P. My Sister

She read it with such anger
She read it with such rage
How the needle led to the addiction
And how that finally led to AIDS

She read it with such openness
Without a trace of fear
That her words would be misunderstood
Cause she read it all so clear

Honesty, Anger, Pain and Rage
And as she turned each page
Hoping to cleanse her heart and mind
Before entering that final stage.......
