IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENED was published by a eight poets and authors who are part of The Village Authors, a collective of seasoned, new, and aspiring authors. This group was founded by Patricia Middleton in 2020. Their mission is to pursue their passion for writing and publishing in excellence with monthly presentations on writing techniques, self-publishing tips, guest lecturers, and ongoing writing assignments. This anthology is the culmination of their first four years of writing.

Behind the Rhyme: Selected Poems by Patricia Middleton is divided into to two sections: poems inspired by writing prompts assigned in workshops and poetry groups that Patricia taught, led, or attended; and poems written to family, friends, church members, and God. There is also a chapter of poems written about Patricia by her family and friends.

The poems in MORE INK FOR THE PEN were inspired by the weekly poetry prompts assigned to the Poetry and Discussion Group, an affiliation with the Center in the Park - Philadelphia. Patricia has been a member of the senior center since September of 2020.
